"I just follow the brush " 
Born in Shkoder, Albania, Europe in 1979 Alketa attended elementary school in her home town of Shkoder where she showed an early interest in the arts, she studied Violin for two years. She attended "Kol Idromeno" high school in Shkoder. from 1998 to 2003 - she attended University "Luigj Gurakuqi" Shkoder, Albania. while enrolled there she followed a special course of paint for one year.

"I started painting when I was 20 years old. I never knew that I was able to make a picture because I never tried. When I follow university, I started doing some drawing. I love my nieces and those angels’ faces they had given to me the desire to draw them. I show these drawings to my picture teacher of the university (Ikbal Kalaja). She was so surprised. “You are an artist”, she said to me. How could I believe those words, they were simple drawings? She pushed me to show my art to other people. She knew me in my city. Anyway, the truth is the trust she gave to me. Moreover, than as always my mother gave to me the desire to be myself being someone.

In a year, I became someone. People, make a simple person to feel artist. Taking part in exhibitions was important for me. I still do not believe how my life changes. How is possible to become someone when you never think you could be?It was not necessary to be rich or to win a lottery but just to draw. I did what I did but now you know me only by a help of a friend that I never thought that he could do so much for me. His name is Pat. He made this web site and my page to present my art.To express our self, each one of us tries to do the best. I think I did it by painting.

If there is any picture you do not understand, do not try to take an explanation. Not always, we have an answer for each question. Just enjoy the colors that are inside of a picture. Colors make a picture I just follow the brush.
This is the language of my pictures and me.

I am who I am, just because my pictures made me. I am just a name for my pictures. In addition, they are me.
