To some I am accepted as I am, and I glow cadmium in the sun's golden rays... Some will say I am an outcast, and cry loudly how I appear untidy through their rose coloured glasses. They spray their poison to rid me from their vision. Because I... refuse to grow in a straight row, stand in line and be judged, bow as a subordinate... I am a free spirit, they can not own or control.

Yes, I am aware of those whispers of disdain, and my social un acceptance. seldom do they escape my ears. I lie flat and press down... avoiding their sharp blade, And I remain... Honest, steadfast, loyal, respectable...

My root taps deeply, and none will ever rip me loose from where I have chosen to stay... should they have even the slightest of success, and I appear to be gone, I am not. I have come to a point where I resist common pests, and predators... I will continue, I will return tomorrow and bloom yet again.

I require little from any one, even though I too have needs. I do not seek approval, nor' do I ask it. I do not beg, I will never demand... ner' do I complain for water...

I do not require pampering that I will stay, I will be present long after others have forsaken you... because I do appreciate and feed on your notice of me.

In my later days, age will give me long white hairs, But here inside I will remain the same, vibrant and young. In your eyes I wear no masque... I am no chameleon nor an actor with a bit part of a few interesting lines to recite. I ask only that you see me as who I am...

I am not perfect and beautiful like a Rose who will cut you... I am real, I am true, I am but a humble Dandelion... and I will light your life, and make you smile...

Come, take my hand now... dance with me in the meadow of natures sweet perfume... wind in our hair... while symphonies caress our ears, and we will drink in each others essence like a fine wine.
